Designer 2
For all users
Designer 2 replaced Designer 1 for everybody
A new editor built around the slowest parts of a weld drawing: dimensions, the symbol and the bead numbering. Your Designer 1 drawings are already in Designer 2, exactly as they were.
- 1 View switcher Top left: overview, view 1, view 2 and 3D.
- 2 Main bar Top centre: undo, delete, duplicate, mirror, flip, rotate, snapshot and settings.
- 3 Object palette On the left: favourites, four smart tools and six categories of objects.
- 4 Layer palette Bottom right, movable: every object in order, with a lock and a box for each view.
Dimensions and symbols
Pick edges and the dimension draws itself; the weld symbol dialog has 24 ISO and 17 AWS weld types and no Save button.
Views and layers
Two views named after their purpose, weld preparation and welding sequence, and a box per view for every object.
3D view in development
Press 3 and the drawing you have becomes a 3D section. Read-only, and not every object has a 3D shape yet.
